The Garden called "Shishiku (lion's roar)” and the series of mural paintings called "Fuga-sansan-sansan-jizai" in Hongonin are now open to the public until June 30.
This beautiful round-style garden which borrows the landscape of Arashiyama in its background was established in the Muromachi era. As you walk around, you will realize the true feeling of comfort by listening to birds and winds singing.
This time, the famous painting "Fuga-sansan-sansan-jizai" by Noriko Tamura is also open to the public. The painting in vermilion red is said to be representing a burning human soul.
