The Tale of Genji, spoken in KyoKotoba (authentic Kyoto dialect)

The Tale of Genji, known as Genji Monogatari in Japanese, is a famous litarature in Japan written by Murasaki Shikibu.

In this event, Ms Tomoko Yamashita will be reading out the first chapter, ‘Kiritsubo’. The reading itself will be in Japanese, but the introduction & discussion afterward will be in both English and Japanese. Japanese sweets and green tea are to be served during the event!
